Krishnadevaraya College of Dental Sciences, Bangalore

The Dental college, situated in Bangalore, Karnataka, is an Institutional project design that encompasses both a collage and a dental hospital within the same building. The design concept originated from the fundamental requirements of each department, which share some common programs. The site features two prominent existing trees, which serve as defining elements for the entrances - one for the students and one for the hospital. The departments are arranged in parallel to each other, with shared facilities such as a PG room, Seminar room, and Staffroom stacked perpendicularly above them. The height of the two-story departments is equivalent to the three-story height of the common spaces located between them. These spaces are interconnected through staircases within each department, as well as through a central common foyer area. Additionally, the building includes classrooms and a laboratory on the opposite side of the common foyer space.
