We were commissioned by a reputed charitable trust to design a Urological Hospital complex near Nadiad, Gujarat. The campus, sprawling over 11 acres, houses a Urology, Nephrology and Kidney transplant centre, a medical training institute and research centre, along with doctor and staff
housing facilities. The complexity of the programs led us to map the functionalities and develop systems before we could actually begin the resolve the building. As it turns out the system mapping heavily influenced the layout, flow and circulation of the building. We wanted to approach healthcare
through a less clinical and more human centric approach. This was furthered by the philanthropic endeavors by the clients who wished to treat the economically underprivileged patients
at a subsidized cost. The architecture is a response to all these complexities and opportunities. The proposal was one of the finalist in the design competition and is currently in the process to be realized, with a few design alterations.
